Boch Royal Sphinx Delft Plate
Up to 1969, plates made for sale under the Royal Sphinx brand were made by Petrus Regout, a company based in Maastricht in Holland. The Petrus Regout factory stopped this kind of manufacture in 1969, and from then until 1979, the plates were made by Boch. For that reason, the backstamp on these plates carries the Boch name very prominently, but in small letters around the edge, is written "Made for Royal Sphinx".
This particular plate shows a Dutch scene, complete with windmill, and a sailing barge in the background. The palte is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
